Academic Facilities
The academic facilities are designed
to include a well equipped Library, an array of computers permanently online, well-equipped
science laboratories, a Drama and Music room and an Audio, Visual room. A fully-equipped
Auditorium With a capacity of over one thousand is the venues for Music play and
addresses from eminent guest speakers. In a similar manner, the regular updated
co-curricular programme has been designed with an approach to words holistic growth,
a 200 m. Athletic Track, Hockey, Cricket and Football fields, Basketball, Volleyball,
Tennis and Badminton court.
Library, Laboratories and classrooms
Well-equipped and well-stocked laboratories and library speak volumes of our commitment
to provide quality education. State of the art computer facilities are available
in computer lab.
The Methodology
The emphasis at G.P.S. is on education and not only on syllabi. The school is committed
to an international education to allow the children maximum versatility in their
future live. We, at Gulmohar cater to educational need of children of all ages.
The C.B.S.E. syllabus in meant to provide an all-round education in English/ mathematics,
Social Studies, the Sciences, all compulsory subject and Commerce, Computer Science
and Physical Education.
The method consists of four stages:
- Per-Primary Level which is our sea- shell Pre-Primary wing for children 3 to 5 years
old.
- Primary Level for children 6 to 14 years of age comprising of classes I to VIII.
- Secondary Level which comprises of classes IX&X where children are exposed to the
examination system setup by C.B.S.E.
- Senior Secondary Level – This is the last stage of schooling G.P.S. where children
are streamlined according to their individual choice of subject i.e. Science and
Commerce where children are vigorously tested at C.B.S.E. standards and are prepared
to challenge the world.
Pastoral Care
Parents can be rest assured that their children are well take care of G.P.S because
we look after each student individually. Our teacher are fully aware of their responsibilities,
which extend way beyond their subject area, and ensures that each student is coping
up with their studies and environment.
Health Care & Medical facilities
For any human endeavour, the health factor and the supply of clean, pure drinking
water & hygienic surrounding remains the most important factor. The school has a
self sufficient infirmary.
Co – Curricular Activities
Over 25 activities are offered to student in the senior School and students enthusiasm
can lead to the foundation of even more. These activities add to the liveliness
and energy of the campus. Yoga, Karate, Art Club, Quiz Club, Chess Club, Taekwondo,
Drama Club, Senior Choir, Science club, Chefs Society, Puppetry Club, Computer Club,
Web Designers, Literary Society, Swimmers Club, Speech & Debate, Language Society,
Photographic Club, Classical Dance Society, Educational Tours Club, Environment
Group / Club, instrumental Group (music), Archery & Clay Modeling.
Sports
We follow a concept of exposing young people to various sporting activities over
their year at the school and also to become dedicated to one or tow major sports
in order to experience the reward of stringed very high level competition. Our team
are very successful in well co-ordinated fixtures locally as well as nationally.
The sports programme is compulsory for all in order to develop their fitness, physical
skills, versatility and sense of fair play. Major sports include cricket, hockey,
football, badminton, karate, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, athletic and
boxing.
To inculcate sportsmen spirit, discipline and aura of healthy competition the school
is divided into four houses. Every house strives to be the best. Inter – house matches,
debates, and other competition are a regular feature of G.P.S.
